Apple Pie Cones

#boxweek14 Made these apple pie in a new shape. They are cut and yum 😊.

Ingredient

sugar

1/2 teaspoon

salt

1/2 tablespoon

baking powder

3 tablespoons

soft butter

1 teaspoon

lemon juice

1 tablespoon

butter

1+1/2 tablespoon

of brown sugar

1/2 tablespoon

honey

1 teaspoon

cinnamon powder

1 teaspoon

milk

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Place yogurt, milk, egg white, sugar, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk together. Set aside.

In another bowl mix together flour and baking powder.

Now add in the dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix well with a spoon. You will get a crumbly loose dough.

Add in soft butter and stir to combine well.

With your hand fold together to make a soft and smooth dough. No need to knead the dough for a long time.

Cover and set aside for an hour.

Wash, peel, and grate apples.

Add in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and mix.

Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of butter.

Add in brown sugar and honey. Stir well to mix.

Now add in the grated apple and stir nicely to make a homogeneous mixture.

Cook in medium heat until liquid evaporates.

Add in cinnamon powder and mix.

Remove from heat. Set aside to cool.

Take out the dough on a working surface and divide it into 6 equal portions.

Fold each portion to make round patties.

Again rest the dough for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes take out a patty and roll to make a round disk just like paratha.

Slit the disk from center to the edge. Place 1 tablespoon of the apple mixture at the edge of the slit.

Fold it with the stuffing to make a cone shape.

Stick the edges of the broad side of the cone with your fingertips. It will give a nice cone shape.

Place it on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Preheat oven at 200 degrees C for 10 minutes.

Make a thick mixture with 1 egg yolk and a teaspoon of milk.

Brush the top of each pie with the mixture. This will give a nice color to the pie.

Bake them in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until nicely golden brown.

Note: during halfway of baking I switched off the upper rod of my oven and turned the tray for even baking.
