Broccoli Mac and Cheese

Broccoli Mac and Cheese

Ingredient

Butter

1/4 cup

Flour

4 cups

Milk

2.5 teaspoons

Kosher Salt

1/2 teaspoon

ground Black Pepper

Dash

Nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon

Garlic Powder

1/2 teaspoon

Smoked Paprika

2.5 cups

Sharp Cheddar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cook pasta in salted water for 3 minutes less then recommended cook time. Save 1 cup of pasta water

* Step 2

In our over medium heat, melt the butter and add the flour. Cook, working constantly for 1 minute. Gradually add milk, mixing 1/2 cup at a time and incorporating fully before adding more.

* Step 3

Once all milk is added, continue whisking until the sauce starts to bubble and thickens slightly, then add all seasonings.

* Step 4

Stir in broccoli and pasta and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Add pasta water if too thick.

* Step 5

Add cheese (and sour cream) and serve once melted
