In Egypt, it’s called Basbousa and in Lebanon it’s called nammoura. There are different ways or techniques to prepare this dessert. Today Im sharing the quickest and easiest one for when you want to have something sweet in 30minutes! Super delicious and a must try!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Start by mixing the dry ingredients first. Then add the liquids: yogurt, milk, oil and blossom water
* Step 2
Combine the ingredients well to get a thick batter.
* Step 3
Brush a baking tray with tahini or butter and spread the mixture
* Step 4
Add the nuts on top and place it in a preheated oven at 180C for 30minutes
* Step 5
In the last 10 minutes start preparing the syrup by mixing all the ingredients and bring to boil until you get a slightly thick syrup.
* Step 6
As you take the tray out of the oven, cut it the way you want and pour the hot syrup on it immediately. Both the basbousa and sugar syrup should be hot for better absorption
