I love this Red velvet Crinkled cookies..Red is the color of Christmas so why not Red Velvet Crinkled cookies for the celebration!!!
The powdered sugar coated on it gives this crinkled look. Please refrigerate the cookies before baking to avoid the sugar from melting.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix and whip the sugar and butter till it's fluffy. Add the eggs one by one and whip it... then vanilla extract and color and mix well...use an electric hand blender.
* Step 2
Add the maida/ flour and mix. Make a dough. Cover with a cling film and refrigerate it for an hour.
* Step 3
After that make balls of about 20-25 gms in weight and cover it with powdered sugar, flatten it a bit (not too much) and keep it on a greased Parchment paper on a baking tray with a little gap. Refrigerate it for 15 minutes or so...this will prevent the powdered sugar from melting while baking and cookies from spreading too much.Pre- heat the oven at 180°c or the kadai or vessel in which you are going to bake for at least 10-15 minutes. Bake the cookies for 8-10 mins.
* Step 4
Once out of the oven, let it rest for 5-10 minutes on the tray....then cool it on the cooling rack, if you don't have use a perforated vessel and cool it to room temperature.
