Smoked Superfood Cake with Avocado and Walnut Custard

This time the health food craze goes extreme. Who said you can't enjoy dessert and at the same clear your colon of years of gunk? At the very least let's just say it will give you many more years to enjoy more dessert! The eggshell flour adds some grittiness so you can leave it out. You can also experiment with other healthy flours like millet, cassava, etc. I've been discovering that wholemeal flour imparts super-crumbliness on cakes, elevating the total quality. I used a traditional kitchen but you can try a smoker or regular oven with a smoking agent. #bakedsnack #shagscookery

tea masala

To taste

1 tablespoon

baking powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Be cooking something else in your traditional kitchen. Oven uses open fire.

Mix your cake batter the conventional way. No complicated technique needed.

* Step 3

Grease a cake pan or sufuria, put your batter in it and place in the open fire oven. It will acquire a smoky flavour. You can try it in a smoker. Here is the finished product.

Let the cake cool inside this traditional cupboard (it has a way of imparting a woodiness on food) before turning it out of the sufuria or cake pan.

To serve, blend the avocado, milk, sugar and walnuts with a little herbal salt and pour over a piece of fibery goodness.

* Step 6

Trust me, it's delicious. Take it from a foodie! Even the old guys loved it! Try replace the sugar with honey.
