Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat sufficient water in a deep non-stick pan. Add black eyed peas and turmeric powder, mix well and boil.

* Step 2

Dry roast coriander seeds and cumin seeds till fragrant. Remove from heat and cool.

Grind together dry roasted spices alongwith red chillies and coconut into a smooth paste.

* Step 4

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onion and saute well.

Slit green chillies into halves lengthwise and add to the pan alongwith garlic and saute for 2 minutes. Add ground paste, mix well and sautรฉ for 2 minutes. Add boiled black eyed peas alongwith the stock and stir to mix.

Add sugar and tamarind paste and mix well. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.... Serve hot

Ready to serve ๐Ÿ˜‹ hot with Rice, Roti.. serve with your choice..
