Ghee

2 nos

Onion

4 chopped

Green chilli

3 - 4 chopped

Tomato / puree

1/2 tsp

Garam masala

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak the green gram overnight in water.. Put the soaked green gram in a pressure cooker, add water, turmeric powder and salt ๐Ÿ˜‹ cook till 2 whistles on medium flame.

Firstly in a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee/ mustard oil cumin, asafoetida powder and saute. Add onion, green chilli.... fry till onion turn golden in colour.

Add the pounded ginger and garlic stir and then add the potato, tomatoes and cook until they are mushy.... For seasoning add turmeric powder red chilli coriander powder, salt.mix well and cook for 3 minutes..

Transfer the cooked green gram to the pan and water.... Mix well and add garam masala powder and lemon juice...

Mix everything and let it cook for about 5 minutes. Finally add the coriander leaves.. Serve the healthy and tasty green gram curry.. hot with dollop of ghee on the top...
