Besan ladoo

These delicious ladoos are primarily made with gram flour, sugar, ghee, and cardamoms. But nowadays we add up some more ingredients as a variation. As a kid, I remember this as a sure-shot item during Holi in our house. #boxweek9 #cookpadindia #besan #ladoo #mysterybox

Ingredient

1 cup

besan

2 tbsp

sooji

3 tbsp

melted ghee

1 pinch

salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Start with dry roasting besan and sooji at slow flame till they give a nice aroma and change colour to brownish. Grind sugar with little salt and cardamoms.

* Step 2

As besan is roasted, which is the most important step, you need to add desi ghee. Add ghee and mix well. Now keep it on flame for a minute or two. Do not over fry else it will taste bitter. Take it out on a plate and in batches go on adding the sugar powder.

Mix all ingredients well. Adjust sugar as per your taste. It's almost ready...As the ladoo mixture is a little warm take small portions and bind them into ladoos.

* Step 4

Keep some sugar powder into which you can coat the ladoos. Garnish with cashews bits.

Let it sit. After some resting time, it will hold shape. Delicious and easy besan ladoos are ready to relish...
