Masoor Dal Gobhi Masala

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, chop cauliflower, remove skin and chop the potato, wash and half boil them in microwave or normal pot.
* Step 2
Pressure cook (don't soak) the masoor dal after washing 2-3 times. Use one and half cup of water. Set aside.
* Step 3
Heat oil, add the bay leaf, all garam masala ingredients mentioned, and lastly timur seeds on low heat.
* Step 4
When the masala sizzles, add chopped onion and fry them. Add green chillies and chopped tomatoes.
* Step 5
Further add turmeric, salt, dry ginger powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and cook the masala till tomatoes are soft and mushy.
* Step 6
Add the boiled dal and vegetables to the masala. Bring to boil for two minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander. Serve alongside green mango chutney and steamed hot rice.
