Dal Pharsi(Kaddu) from Odisha
I made this recipe with Chana Dal and green Pumpkin, Pharsi in Nepali. It's so delicious and can be eaten with Roti or Rice.
Ingredient

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a microwavable bowl mix well chana, pumpkin, turmeric and salt. Cook for 5 mins in microwave.
* Step 2
In a pan heat oil and add panch Phutan. Let it splutter.
* Step 3
Fry green chilli and onion till golden brown.
* Step 4
Add ginger, garlic, red chilli powder and tomato puree.
* Step 5
Cook in low med flame till oil separated.
* Step 6
Add 1 tbsp water to the pan, curry powder, dhania and zeera powder. Cook till water evaporates.
* Step 7
Now mix boiled chana dal +pumpkin and a cup of water.
* Step 8
Mix well, cover and cook for 2 mins. Add garam masala and kasoori methi.
* Step 9
Hot and tasty Curry is ready to serve.
