Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First Up: Curdle the milk to procure the required soft Chhena for this recipe & not the store bought paneer I’m referring herein- I’m also attaching my earlier several links on this homemade Chhena typically made to prepare such delectable Bengali sweets 👇🏻
* Step 2
Next, add in the same to the blender jar with rest all other ingredients except the ghee in it- Blend it all to a smooth, supple nice mixture-
Add in some milk as aforesaid to get the desired smooth & pliable texture of it without any lumps in it at all & that’s how it should be
* Step 3
Now, add in this prepared Chhena & Rose Syrup mixture to a pan over the medium flame, add in the ghee at this point keep on stirring the mixture continuously until slowly & gradually it starts leaving the sides of the pan & just form a soft, smooth & pliable dough like consistency without sticking anywhere at all
* Step 4
Flame goes off: Let it cool down a bit but surely not completely when we actually need to start shaping them up quickly & do the garnish too alongside & press gently with your finger tip to stick onto it- Because, once it starts cooling down completely it’d start hardening & then, all the garnish would come out to fall down & then it’s really a problem doing it again
* Step 5
Once that’s done ✅ Refrigerate it for at least an hour’s time before serving it as is on the serving platters/plate, etc.
You surely can go overboard & choose to go for a contemporary garnish than the traditional ones or create something extra by combining both- Your call, of course 👍🏻
* Step 6
Enjoy this Kolkata delight & DELISH, to the core…& keep reminiscing the same even much later…
