Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First Up: We need to wash well the dal & rice & let it soak in warm water for about 4-6 hrs time, overnight is always best- Post that strain the water & put it in a blender jar along with the blanched palak/spinach 👇🏻
* Step 2
In that: Add in the aforesaid measured quantity of the rest of the ingredients altogether & without adding much water to it (Only about a little bit is required in it), blend it to a coarse mixture & not completely smooth 👇🏻
* Step 4
Grease a microwaveable tray/dish with some oil/ghee-
Then, add in a tsp of fruit salt/ENO to this mixture & mix everything well together until nicely combined and well blended-
Ensure, not to over mix it
* Step 6
After adding in the ENO to it, immediately pour it into the greased Baking Dish/Tray and put it for cooking it in the Microwave mode for about 7-8 mins time max. Temperature settings in different machines can vary- However, at no cost it should be microwaved for more than 10 mins time- For me it took about 8.5 mins time…
* Step 7
Turn off the oven & let it cool down a bit while, we need to prepare the Tadka or Baghar for it rightly-
For that, add into the Tadka pan- All the aforesaid ingredients for the same & allow it to splutter nicely & release its fine aroma, turn off the flame & pour it onto the prepared warm dhokla now, slowly & gradually with the help of a spoon
* Step 8
Allowing it to seep in slowly inside it, keeping it moist, soft & fluffy enough- Now, let it cool down completely
Once it’s cooled down- Cut up into your desired shapes & sizes- Garnish with some freshly & finely chopped coriander leaves & freshly grated coconut- (recommended if you have it handy or else, desiccated will also do)
* Step 9
Time to transfer it into the serving plates/platters- Serve it warm or RT alongside your morning/evening Tea or Coffee and it can be accompanied by your choicest Green/Tamarind Chutney or any kind of Sweet Chutneys or similar & just CHILLAX…
