Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a small or medium saucepan melt butter and bring to a boil on low heat. Swirl and stir consistently until it reaches a deep amber color. Be very careful not to let it burn. Remove from heat once you've reached desired color and consistency. Set aside to cool.
* Step 2
In a large bowl mix sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt, and baking soda.
* Step 3
Mix flour into sugar mixture while butter coals. Creates a sand like consistency.
* Step 4
Once butter is cool to touch slowly incorporate into bowl and mix thoroughly.
* Step 5
Add chocolate chips and nuts. I like to split my dough in half and make two batches.
* Step 6
Place batter in fridge for at least 2 hours to let flavors develop.
* Step 7
Preheat oven to 350°. Place parchment paper on cookie sheets. Using a large cookie scoop place dough 2 inch apart.
* Step 9
Let sit for 3 mins on cookie sheet to finish baking. Then transfer cookies to a cookie rack and allow to cool. You can sprinkle salt at this time.
