Easy chicken karahi

Chicken Karahi, originating from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, has undergone major alterations over the years. Now every region has its own version.

Ingredient

30-35minutes
1 cup

oil

1 1/2 tsp.

pepper powder

1/2 cup

yogurt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat oil in heavy bottom pot or karahi (wok).

* Step 2

Add chicken and cook till colour changes, oil separates.

* Step 3

Add ginger-garlic paste and mix well.

* Step 4

Add salt, pepper powder, chilli powder and chilli flakes. Mix well.

* Step 5

Add tomatoes, mix cover and cook till tomatoes disintegrate and chicken is tender.

* Step 6

Whisk yogurt with karahi masala and add. Mix, cover and cook for 7 minutes.

* Step 7

Add crushed cumin and coriander seeds along with green chillies. Mix.

* Step 8

Add cilantro, mix and serve.
