Chicken kafta kabab curry

Chicken kafta kabab curry

Koftas (meatballs) are almost everyone’s favourite freezer friendly food. They are quite versatile and can come in handy in unexpected ways.

Ingredient

Cooking time :

30minutes
12 cloves

garlic, chopped

1/4 cup

oil

1/2 cup

yogurt

1/4 tsp.

turmeric

1/4 tsp.

nutmeg powder

1/4 tsp.

mace powder

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Heat oil in a pot and saute onions till deep brown in colour.

* Step 2

Add garlic and green chillies and fry 1 minutes.

* Step 3

Transfer the onions to a food processor and pulse till smooth.

* Step 4

Return the onion paste to the pot and add yogurt, mix well.

* Step 5

Add all the spices except garam masala, and saute till oil separates.

* Step 6

Add water (about 2 cups) and bring to a boil.

* Step 7

Add the kafta kababs, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Swirl the pot around occasionally to prevent the kafta from sticking to bottom of pot.

* Step 8

Once curry is of desired consistency, add garam masala, mix and cook 1 minute.

* Step 9

Serve garnished with poppy seeds.
