Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and soak chickpeas overnight. Put in a pressure cooker and add turmeric powder and salt. Add 500 ml water and pressure cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
* Step 2
Let pressure release itself.
* Step 3
Heat a pan, add oil. Add green cardamom, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds and cloves. Let spices splatter. Add ginger garlic paste and onion paste. Saute 2 minutes on medium flame.
* Step 4
Add red chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala powder. Saute 2 minutes on medium flame.
* Step 5
Now take 2tbsp boiled chickpeas in a grinding jar, add boiled potato also. Grind to a paste. Keep aside.
* Step 6
Now add tomato puree to the pan. Add salt also. Add 1/2 cup water and cook the paste for 3-4 minutes on low -medium flame.
* Step 7
Gravy is well cooked now. Add chickpea -potato paste to the pan. Saute few minutes.
* Step 8
Then add boiled chickpease and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
* Step 9
After ten minutes, chickpease are cooked well. Add amchur powder. Adjust gravy. Garnish with coriander leaves.
* Step 10
Peshawari chole is ready to be served. Serve with naan, roti or parathas.
