Use-up Jam Pasty

A little pastry was left over from a pie, so “Waste not, want not.”, mode was triggered. Use the heat from cooking the pie to conserve energy.

Ingredient

Food ration :

1 serving

Cooking time :

18-20 minutes including prep

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Roll out the pastry and shape into a circle. Place the jam in one half, near the baseline of the hemisphere.

* Step 2

Wet the pastry edges all round and fold the empty hemisphere over the one with the jam. Crimp the edges together.

* Step 3

Cook in the oven for 15 minutes at Gas Mark 6 or electric equivalent (Circotherm 170C). Allow to cool and enjoy with a Nice Cuppa!
