Shahi Suji Halwa

#Dussehra Suji Halva is delicious North Indian recipe, prepared with semolina, ghee,saffron,sugar,with chopped dryfruits. This Halva is made for the occasion of Ashtami pooja.

Ingredient

1 Cup

Semolina

4 Cup

water

1 Cup

ghee

1 Cup

sugar

1/2 spoon

Cardamom powder

20-30

almond

15-20

raisenes

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Take 20 almond and Soaked overnight in warm water.

* Step 2

Take a saucepan over medium flame, add water, sugar and Cardamom powder to make sugar syrup, stir it continuously for 5 -7 minutes and keep it aside.

* Step 3

Now heat ghee in another pan on medium flame,when the ghee melted add suji in it and stir continuously until it is golden brown in colour.

* Step 4

Add sugar syrup and mix well.

* Step 5

Simmer and cook the mixture for 10 to 15 minutes.

* Step 6

Pour Halva in a bowl, keep it for 5.to7 minutes,then unmould in a plate,design with the fork and Garnish the Shahi suji Halva with chopped Almond, raisenes and cherry.
