#festive #post5   Onam sadya Pumpkinerissery recipe ,less spices tempered curry with pumpkin and lobiya coconut. It is Kerala traditional recipe served during onam sadya.

Ingredient

250 gm

Pumpkin

1/2 cup

Lobiya

1/4 tsp

Haldi

to taste

Salt

1/2 cup

Coconut

1/4 tsp

Jeera

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Rinse lobiya and soak for 2-3 hours. Boil with salt in pressure cooker.drain and keep aside

Rinse pumpkin& peel diced in cubes.take cubes of pumpkin with 1cup of water in a pan.Add haldi and salt. Cover pan and boil it till done.

When the pumpkin is cooking grind coconut,chilli and zeera.

Add this coconut paste to pumpkin.also add lobiya and mix well.

When done cover with lid and keep aside.

* Step 6

Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds when cracked add curry patta and red chilli.pour this tempering mixture into pumpkin erissery

* Step 7

Serve pumpkin erissery with steamed rice.
