Khasta Stuffed Tandoori kulche

#bread #goldenapron #post14 Kulchas Are flattened leavened Indian bread. It is crispy and because of the Potato stuffing is soft from inside.A Famous bread of Punjab.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a bowl take refined flour, salt kasuri methi, baking soda, Butter and mix well.Then make into soft dough by adding water little at a time. Keep aside for 1/2 hr - 1 hr.

In the meantime in a bowl take mashed potatoes and all ingredients for stuffing, mix well.

Make ball out of the dough.Roll it like a chapati apply ghee or butter on it.Fold a little apply ghee then fold other part apply ghee again. Similarly make seven folds applying ghee every time.

Now make an impression in the dough,or flatten it, put potato stuffing in it and form into a round ball. Flatten it with the help of the fingers or rolling pin and keep increasing the size. It should neither be too thick nor thin. Wet your hand apply coriander leaves on one side of kulcha.

Put it on the tandoor and cook well on both sides till golden brown. Apply butter. Similarly make all the kulchas. (I have made kulchas in the electric tandoor).You can can make use of the Tawa.

Tandoori kulcha can be had with chole,Dal,curd or even with achaar and chutney.
