Plain boiled rice with njahi

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Put 16 cups of water in a clean sufuria.

* Step 2

Add salt and bring to boil.

* Step 3

Add the rice and cover with a lid.

* Step 4

Allow to cook untill all water evaporates.

* Step 5

It's ready, set aside for later use.

In another clean, warm sufuria, heat oil and add onions.

* Step 7

Allow to cook untill golden brown

* Step 8

Add tomatoes and the pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.

* Step 9

Add potatoes, stir and cook for another 3 minutes.

* Step 10

Add the njahi, stir and cook for 1 minute.

* Step 11

Add water and bring to boil untill the potatoes are cooked.

Ready, serve with rice and garnish with rings of tomatoes and white bulb onion.
