California Farm Ukrainian Paska Bread
This is adapted from cookpad chef’s SJS2020 recipe, scaled down to two round 6” loaves. Thank you, chef!
Ingredient

2 people, 2 loaves
Cooking time :
Rise 3 hours, bake 1 hour
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix tsp yeast, tsp sugar in 1/4 cup warm water, let it froth. Mix 1/4 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar till fluffy. Add 1 1/2 eggs, mix till fluffy. Add lemon and orange juices, zest, tsp salt, 1/2 cup cooled milk, mix till fluffy. Add 2 cups flour, add yeast solution, mix, then add more Tbs flour till elastic dough is free from mixer bowl.
* Step 2
Grease spring forms, fill bottom 1/3 of forms with 1/2 of dough In each form. Let rise till triple, 2 hours. Pull strand from dough to decorate top. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350F degrees. Brush tops with yolk eggwash. Bake 10 minutes at 350F, turn oven down to 325F, bake 40 more minutes. Cool and serve. Slava Ukrayini.
