Papaya is a very healthy fruit. It is rich in Vitamin C, fiber and but not very much liked by many, especially kids. This is a wonderful way of feeding kids papaya. My kids were not believing that papaya could be so yummy :The
Ingredient
Food ration :
5-6 servings

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and peel the papaya. This weighed about 800g. Remove the seeds and cut into small pieces. You can also grate it, I felt lazy to wash the grater so kept it that way :-)
* Step 2
Grind the almonds into coarse powder. I prefer keeping it coarse as it gives the halwa a good texture.
* Step 3
Heat ghee in a pan. Add the cashews and raisins and fry. When the raisins expand like balloons and the cashews turn golden remove them from the pan. Keep them aside.
* Step 4
Cook the papayas for 15-20 minutes. Keep stirring in between, mash them as they become soft (not needed if you have grated the papaya)
* Step 5
After the papayas are cooked well, add the powdered almonds and stir. Add the condensed milk too.
* Step 6
Check the sweetness and add sugar if needed. The papaya was not very sweet so I added just about 2 tbsp of sugar.
* Step 7
Cook for another 5 minutes. Then add the elaichi powder. Add a few drops of rose essence. This is completely optional and can be avoided. Mix well.
* Step 8
Garnish with the fried cashews and raisins. Remove it into a clean serving bowl.
* Step 9
Garnish with the remaining fried cashews and kishmish and other nuts as you feel like.
