Smokey Paprika Cheese Twists
We had some special cheese that needed to be used up, and as our Local Pub has a “ locals bring food in and everyone eats, thing” on a Sunday lunchtime, I thought I would make these. This is listed in portions, so you can make them according to how much Cheese you have! Can be frozen. #Quick,#Easy,#Budget,#Familyfreindly. #Partyfood
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Sift Flour into a bowl, add the Margarine or Butter. Rub mix between fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs.
* Step 2
Add Smoked Paprika and Grated Smokey Cheese. Mix again with fingers to resemble breadcrumbs. (using fingers prevents lumps of cheese in the mix, unless of course, you like it that way!)
* Step 3
Add a little water, then knead the mix, at a time, until the stuff forms a nice elastic dough. Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
* Step 4
Using the Margarine or Butter, grease baking trays well.
* Step 5
Using the extra flour, roll out the dough into about a pencil - width thickness. Cut into finger shaped pieces. Pick each one up, twist at least once, before placing, a little apart, on the baking trays.
* Step 6
Cook in medium- hot oven for about 10 minutes. Swop/ turn trays around to ensure a nice even baking, and cook for a further 5-10 minutes, until golden brown. Cool down and either serve it’s a dip, or on their own. These are going to go down well with a pint!! Enjoy!! Please send cook snaps!!
