It’s almost tomato time, so here’s homemade ketchup recipe that we did last season. Feel free to adjust the amount of sugar/salt/vinegar to your taste. With this recipe, our ketchup was a little sweeter than we expected πŸ˜„ Don't forget to mark a date of cooking on the jars.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash and chop tomatoes, bell peppers, onion and apples and place everything into a bigger pot. Add sugar, salt, vinegar, paprika and cinnamon and cook on low heat until soft. Stir occasionally.

* Step 2

Once cooked, blend the mixture with hand blender.

* Step 3

Press the mixture through a sieve (to remove seeds and skins) and pour it into jars. Close the jars tightly and sterilize for 10 minutes. Let them cool and you’re done πŸ‘ We obtained 9 jars of ketchup this way.
