ANZAC Apple Crumbles
‘ANZAC Biscuit’ is one of the most popular sweet biscuits in Australia. It has long been associated with the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) established in World War I. Today I made this Apple Crumble with the Crumble similar to the ANZAC Biscuit dough. To enjoy the flavour of the Crumble, I didn’t add Cinnamon, but you may wish to add it.

Cooking instructions
* Step 2
Wash Apples, remove the core and cut into about 2cm pieces. Today I cut each Apple into 8 wedges, and cut each wedge into 3 pieces.
* Step 3
Place the Apple pieces, Sugar and Corn Flour in a baking dish, and mix to combine. Scatter Sultanas over.
* Step 4
To make the Crumble, place Butter in a heat-proof bowl and melt it in the microwave, add Golden Syrup and Sugar, and mix well. Add all other dry ingredients, and mix until just combined.
* Step 5
Spoon the Crumble over the Apple. Bake for 40 minutes. When the Crumble turned too dark, cover with a sheet of foil and bake until Apple pieces are soft.
* Step 6
Serve with whipped Cream, Custard OR Vanilla Ice Cream.
