Frozen Yogurt Bites

This was a fun and quick recipe to make with my 5 year old! It’s a healthy frozen treat that’s super customizable. #GlobalApron Week 2 Greek Yogurt #Dessert #Frozen #Summer #Snack #Fun

Freeze it for 3 hr
3 Tablespoons

honey

1/2 teaspoon

vanilla extract

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Gather your ingredients.

If you are using plain Greek yogurt, then add the honey and vanilla extract, then mix well. Today, I used vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. It was already sweet enough, so I didn’t add anything to it.

* Step 3

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Spread the Greek yogurt onto the parchment paper into an approximately 1/4” thick layer. An offset spatula is helpful here.

Place a few dollops of jam onto a section of the yogurt and swirl it using a wooden skewer.

Slice the fruit thinly, and distribute it over the jam, as well as another section of the yogurt without jam.

Next, sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over another section of the yogurt.

Sprinkle nuts onto some of the chocolate, and use rainbow sprinkles on the last empty section.

Place into the freezer for at least three hours, or until firm.

* Step 10

Remove from the freezer, and cut or break into chunks of desired size. Store in a sealed container in the freezer. These tend to soften pretty quickly, so eat them as soon as you take them out of the freezer! 😋
