Sloppy Joes
I asked my four-year-old daughter what her favorite school lunch was. She enthusiastically replied, “Sloppy Jones!“ 🤣Since school is over for the year, I decided to whip up a batch of “Sloppy Jones“ for us.
This recipe is from Natasha’s Kitchen.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First, prepare the sauce. Combine the sauce ingredients and whisk until well blended. Set aside.
* Step 2
Dice the onion and red bell pepper. Mince the garlic.
* Step 3
Sauté the ground meat in neutral oil of your choice. Ensure the meat is fully cooked, then drain any excess fat.
* Step 4
Fry the onion and red bell pepper over medium-low heat until softened.
Add the garlic and sauté for one minute longer.
* Step 5
Add the meat back to the frying pan along with the sauce. Stir well, and allow the mixture to simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until thickened to your liking.
If you prefer your sauce to be more watery, you can always add some additional tomato sauce or water to thin it.
* Step 6
Toast the buns and fill them with the Sloppy Joe mixture. You can add pickles, if you like!
