Quick milkpie without filo

A very easy milk pie (galatopita), quick and with no syrup. Ideal for breakfast or an afternoon snack.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil the milk, the semolina, the zest, the butter and 3 tbsp of the sugar.

* Step 2

As soon as the mixture starts to thicken, remove from heat.

* Step 3

Beat the 4 eggs, the vanilla and the rest of the sugar.

* Step 4

Mix all the ingredients and stir well with a wooden spoon or a whisk.

* Step 5

Pour the mixture in a baking tray that you have brushed with butter.

* Step 6

Bake in a strong preheated oven until the top gets golden brown.

* Step 7

Then cover with aluminum foil and continue baking for 1 additional hour at 200°C.

* Step 8

You can have it either cold or hot.
