Mexican Red Rice

Mexican Red Rice

Our favorite Rice recipe. Buying good quality Basmati rice makes all the difference.

Ingredient

Food ration :

6 servings
2 cups

water

1/2 tbsp

garlic powder

1/8 tsp

paprika

1 tablespoon

butter

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Place the rice in bowl and cover with water, swish the grains around with a spoon, to release any excess starch, drain the rice and repeat a few more times till water is clear. This is our favorite rice (Costco)

* Step 2

Bring water and seasoning to a boil. Add rice, cover with lid and boil on low (1 or 2) for 10 minutes. Do not stir once.

* Step 3

Once cooked, fluff with a fork.

* Step 4
