Homemade crumpets

Homemade crumpets

Haven’t made these for a while. But what better to use the homemade butter on.

Ingredient

275 ml

milk

1 tsp

salt

1/2 tsp

sugar

7 g

yeast

55 ml

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Warm the milk.

Mix the flour, sugar, yeast and salt.

When the milk is warm add to the flour mix. Mix to a smooth consistency.

Leave to rise for 40 minutes.

Grease the crumpet rings and put in a pad with extra butter and heat until the butter is bubbling.

Add 2-3 tablespoons of the bread mix to each ring.

* Step 7

Cook until the top just about cooked. Then flip and cook for another few minutes.

* Step 8

Remove the rings and place in a tray to complete cooking in a warm oven for a few more minutes.

* Step 9

Serve with homemade butter.
