Cabbage steak
I was searching for new ways to cook green cabbage. I really like cabbage but if over or under cooked it can be disappointing. These cabbage steaks are really tender, very delicious and versatile - I'm going to try them with lots of different accompaniments and toppings

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius
* Step 2
Cut the stem off the cabbage and slice the cabbage into 1-2 cm slices
* Step 3
Pour a good glug of oil into a bowl, crush the garlic into the oil and mix
* Step 4
Place the cabbage slices down on a baking tray and brush the oil/garlic mixture over the cabbage. Add salt and pepper
* Step 5
Place in the oven and roast for 45 minutes. Check regularly - when the leaves start to go brown cover with foil for the remainder of the cooking time. They are fully cooked when you can easily insert a knife to the stem of the cabbage
