Tsum Tsum (Winnie the Pooh) Pineapple Cake 卡通(小熊維尼)鳳梨酥
Pineapple cake is a famed pastry which originated from Taiwan. It is also considered one of the popular Mid-Autumn Festival pastry gifts in Taiwan (another one is Salted Egg Yolk Pastry). Most pineapple cake are made into a cubic shape, but this recipe will show you how to make pineapple cakes with an adorable looking. Try to make some for your family and friends to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival with these goodies!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven to upper heat 155∘C/bottom heat 140∘C. Place the butter in the mixing bowl under room temperature until soften. Add powder sugar and beat until turning white and fluffy. Add whole egg and beat until well combined.
* Step 2
Fold in cake flour, milk powder, grated parmesan cheese, and potato starch until well combined. (Do not overmix!)
* Step 3
Divide the dough into several portion and add food colorings respectively, slightly knead the dough until nice and smooth.
* Step 4
Take 30g of dough (it can be made up by doughs with different color) to wrap 20g pineapple filling. Roll the filled dough into a oval shape and decorate it with the remained dough.
* Step 5
Bake the pineapple cakes for 25 mins. Take the pineapple cakes out and leave them on the baking pan until cool down。
* Step 6
Add a few drops of water into a small portion of bamboo charcoal powder to make a black paint. Use a tiny brush to dip the black paint and draw some lines on the pineapple cakes to decorate.
