California Farm T Bone Tomahawk Steak
If you ask your butcher to leave the whole rib attached to a T Bone steak, and cut it 2” thick, you end up with what is called a Tomahawk steak. The meat alone weights 2 pounds, enough for four people. If you have an air fryer oven, the rib bone is sawed off on request by the butcher so the steak will fit.
Ingredient
Food ration :
4 people, 4 dinners
Cooking time :
1 hour dinner, 1-5 hour ice cream freeze
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Make the dinner salad with champion tomatoes, red onions, avocados, butter lettuce, sweet california red pepper, button mushrooms and dressing.
* Step 2
Make the stuffed potato skins in the airfryer. Bake 75 minutes at 350F degrees after rubbing with olive oil and flaked seasalt. Hollow out, add shaved beef, ranch dressing, black beans, chopped green onions, chopped tomato, sweet pepper mix, smoked cheese. Mix hollowed out baked potato with onion and serve as a side dish, or make latkes.
* Step 3
Soak and grill the whole corn on the cob in the husk, 20 minutes, peel and butter. Save husks, dry, use to make tamales. Cobs go to the horse.
* Step 4
Bring the steak to room temperature. Season and grill the steak to perfection, 20 minutes to medium rare on charcoal, or 450F degrees in air fryer. I use a thermometer probe, the internal temperature for medium rare should be 140F degrees after 20 minutes grilling and this will increase to 145F degrees after 10 minutes resting. Quarter and serve. Bone goes to the dog.
* Step 5
Serve fresh strawberry ice cream: de-stem, wash, quarter, puree with sweetened greek yoghurt and agave syrup in food processor, freeze, serve for dessert. Top with home made strawberry liqueur.
* Step 6
Serve with a California Zinfandel Red wine. Happy Holiday.
