When we go into the hot sun here in Florida it is wise to put on suntan lotion. I am gonna use butter for the turkey to see what happens. Happy Thanksgiving to yall!! Only the best wishes for you and your families!!!!
Ingredient
24 pound
whole turkey bone in
1/3 cup
salt
2 sticks
salted butter, room temperature
2 cups
water
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Preheat oven to 450° Fahrenheit. Clean the turkey of feathers. Remove neck and giblet bag. Coat the turkey with one stick of butter. Push the second stick into the cavity of the bird.
* Step 2
Add salt over the top and onto the sides. Add water beside turkey, cover, and bake two hours. Remove baste, cover, and bake 30 minutes longer. Serve I hope you enjoy!!!
