Ingredient

1/4 cup

Diced onion

4 tbls

butter

2 cups

beef broth

hoagie rolls

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

In a saucepan sauté onions in the butter

* Step 2

Add wine and boil just enough to release the alcohol smell

* Step 3

Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt & pepper, cover and reduce to simmer

* Step 4

In skillet brown the shaved beef in olive oil with Montreal steak seasoning to taste

Add cooked beef and drippings to au jus mixture bring to a boil, cover and simmer until the meat has absorbed the au jus flavor

* Step 6

Toast hoagie roll with provolone cheese, add beef and serve with a side of au jus
