Cooking instructions
* Step 1
I proofed the dough using this method. Get first proof finished while prepping ingredients. Once this step is done you move on to stuffing each round and proofing again later.
* Step 2
In a large skillet, cook up chicken and onions in oil.
* Step 3
Transfer to a mixing bowl.
* Step 5
Add beans and cilantro. When meat and onions are cooled enough you can add the cheese and mix well.
* Step 6
Divide the dough now into 6 rounds of equal proportions. Roll each round out into a 6" round.
* Step 7
Divide filling equally amongst each rolled circle. Gather edges to seal and place edges on bottom of baking tray.
* Step 8
Once all rounds are stuffed and placed, cover with a cooking towel and let rise for 15 minutes.
* Step 9
Preheat oven to 380 degrees
* Step 10
Beat an extra egg and brush rolls with egg wash before placing into the oven. Bake for 45 minutes or until they are golden brown.
* Step 11
Serve hot with a nice side salad for a complete meal.
* Step 12
I made 2 using some of the diced chicken, finely diced cooked potato, salt, pepper and cheese for my 6 year old step daughter. This recipe is just that versatile.
* Step 13
You can get creative by sprinkling dough after it's been washed in egg with sea salt or seeds or spices! Even some extra cheese.
