Minced Chicken and Egg Bowl (Soboro Don)

We ate Soboro Don a few times in some japanese restaurant. And yesterday as i was thinking what to cook for dinner, i found this recipe. So glad! Kids love it and gave rating 9.5/10 just because i used normal jasmine rice instead of japanese rice. The rest was perfect! Oh and the best part is, it is easy and quick to prepare

Ingredient

3 tablespoon

soy sauce

3 tablespoon

mirin

1 tablespoon

sugar

1/2 teaspoon

salt

1 tablespoon

oil (optional)

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Minced chicken Heat a frying pan and add all minced chicken ingredients, cook until all the liquid is almost absorbed by the chicken and the chicken are fully cook, stir often. Keep breaking the chicken into smaller piece while cooking

* Step 2

Turn off heat and set aside

* Step 3

Scrambled eggs Lightly beat eggs, mix with mirin, sugar and salt.

* Step 4

Heat a frying pan and add the oil to coat the pan (skip this if you are using a non-stick pan).

* Step 5

Pour the egg mixture and cook while stirring with a spatula or chopsticks until the eggs are no longer runny and broken into small lumps.

* Step 6

To serve Prepare a bowl of steamed white rice. Arrange minced chicken and scrambled eggs side by side, making two patches. Garnish with some chopped scallions (optional).
