Rice pakodas/rice fries (from left over rice)

We being typical South Indians,can’t avoid rice…although I have reduced the quantity of rice I cook,still..a handful is left over…I am strictly a person who prefer not to waste food….so I convert everything to possible snacks…or use in any other way….leftover rice was really getting on my nerves….so along with other methods to bring it back on table….one that made my family munch on with out much cribbing was the below recipe

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mash rice by adding a bit of salt using a potato masher

* Step 2

Add onion,green chillies,ginger,coriander leaves,curry leaves,lime juice,gram flour,rice flour,turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder,salt,baking powder and mix well

* Step 3

Mix well,if needed add few drops of water to make a perfect dough

* Step 4

Make small balls from the mix

* Step 5

Deep fry in oil till golden brown

* Step 6

You can serve with any sauce…while hot..enjoy 😁 Personally I prefer to have hot a hot cup of tea …..especially when it’s raining 🤤
