Dum k roat is an authentic & traditionally famous recipe that is specifically relished in the month of our Islamic new year that is Muharram. while it’s baking in the oven the kitchen turns incredibly aromatic & inviting it’s also known as semolina cookies. But it’s rich in taste with nuts, flour, ghee, semolina, saffron milk & a dash of cardamoms ..!
Note:- do not overbake the cookies as it will turn out to be dense originally it’s texture will be softer from inside & crunchier from outside it’s perfect texture as in my cookies Masha Allah ..!

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Firstly take a bowl to add all dry ingredients toss it next to add ghee roughly mix it then adding little saffron milk knead the dough with light hands or until the dough is gathered cover it using a damp cloth & let it rest for 2 hours.
* Step 2
Now line a baking paper on the oven tray grease it and again knead the dough for 1 minute and make medium-sized balls and add almond slices as required set all on a tray and pop it in a preheated oven that was for 10 minutes then for baking set it for more 15-20 minutes then let it rest in its own heat for 10 minutes and remove it.
* Step 3
Our deliciously awesome dum k roat is ready to relish warm. can be stored in an air-tight container for about 2 weeks…!
