Kashmiri oats halwa

#cookpadindia It’s a lovely and healthy dessert can be relished warm in cold weather or can be enjoyed anytime as in Kashmir it’s mostly cold weather hence their cuisines are cooked accordingly using nuts & saffron generously. Note :- Kashmiri halwa is originally prepared using only oats but by tweaking it I have added a bit of semolina which is also equally delicious in taste .

Ingredient

Cooking time :

15-20 minutes
1/4 cup

sugar

2 cups

milk

1/2 teaspoon

strands of saffron

2 tablespoons

raisins

1 tablespoon

chopped cashews

1/2 cup

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Firstly boil milk once it comes to a gentle boil add cardamoms powder,sugar,strands of saffron Simmer it and boil until colour changes.besides take a pan add ghee and roasted semolina & oats until golden & its aromatic cook on medium flame burner.

* Step 2

Once milk is boiled perfectly add the ghee & oats semolina roasted very carefully as it’s sizzling hot and keep stirring. Cook until everything is mixed and add raisins & cashews further cook until halwa is gathered & ghee separates.

* Step 3

Pop it in a serving bowl garnish with strands of saffron and serve it hot …! Our delicious Kashmiri oats halwa is ready to relish..!
