One pot saffron marag

A very healthy soup enjoyed especially in winters though it’s cooked around the year . I have prepared it in a very easy way yet deliciously awesome. Do try & experience it .

Ingredient

Food ration :

2-4 servings

Cooking time :

20-25 minutes
1/2 kg

mutton

1 tablespoon

ginger garlic paste

1/2 teaspoon

salt

1/2 cup

water

3-4 tablespoons

curd

20-30

cashews

1 teaspoon

coriander leaves

1/2 teaspoon

black pepper powder

3-4 tablespoons

ghee

1/2 inch

cinnamon stick

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash & boil mutton in a pressure cooker with salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste 1/2 cup water cover the lid & cook until 2-3 whistles while we uncover the lid add strands of saffron remove it in a bowl further prepare a fine paste of curd, cashews, green chilies & coriander leaves

In the same pressure cooker add in ghee drop bay leave, cardamoms & cinnamon stick then add chopped onion sauté both until onions turn golden brown then pop all the green paste with salt & black pepper powder

* Step 3

Sauté until the raw smell is disappeared and slightly ghee separates a layer on it then pop in the bowl of boiled mutton with all the soup sprinkle some coriander leaves add a pinch of Garam masala powder.

* Step 4

The deliciously awesome marag is ready to enjoy with tandoori roti,rumali roti, naan.
