Rice Payasam

Ingredient

1 tablespoon

raw rice

1 tablespoon

poppy seeds

1 cup

mong daal

1 cup

jaggery

As needed

cashews

As needed

Almonds

As needed

raisins

3 tablespoons

ghee

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Dry roast mong daal. And pressure cook for 1 whistle.

Dry roast rice and poppy seeds

* Step 3

Grind the roasted rice, poopy seeds, cardamom and coconut to a smooth paste.

* Step 4

In a heavy base vessel melt jaggery with little water

* Step 5

Add grounded paste and cooked mong daal

* Step 6

Cook till nice aroma

* Step 7

Roast cashew, badam and resins in ghee add it to the paysam.
