Super Creamy Cheesy Carbonara
There are many Carbonara variations out there but the traditional or Authentic carbonara does not use cream, garlic, herbs or #spices. It is still creamy because of the of egg yolks + grated #pecorino romano.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Prep all ingredients - mince garlic, slice mushrooms, render your preferred meat (if using)+ & beat egg yolks well until foamy. in a separate bowl, mix corn flour well with milk. Next, Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water and oil, or according to the package s instructions.
* Step 2
Cooking the dish - A. 👩🏼🍳 In the meantime, Sauté garlic in olive oil until aromatic or lightly browned. Add sliced mushrooms, cook until soft. Pour the cream/thickened cream. Mix well. Season with chicken granules or salt to taste. Add pepper. Pour corn flour mixture. Mix well over medium heat. Add drained pasta. Mix well. Sauce will thicken quite fast. B. 👩🏼🍳 Turn off the heat. Immediately, Stir in meat pieces or pancetta (if using) and pour egg yolks over and start stirring quickly.
* Step 3
Serve with generous amount of parmesan cheese & sprinkle your favourite meat bits on top (if using). To reheat, if at all there’s leftover, feel free to add splashes of milk to have that some creamy sauce again.
