How to Evenly Cook Any Sized Potato in a Microwave
When I used to microwave potatoes, even if I turned them over midway through cooking, they'd still have dry areas or watery areas. So I added some water to steam them.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
I used 2 medium sized Irish Cobbler potatoes this time. It's been 2 weeks since I bought them. Wash them well and remove any sprouts if necessary.
* Step 2
Place them on a microwave-safe dish and fill with about 1-2 cm of water. Cover with plastic wrap.
* Step 3
Microwave at 500 W for 5 minutes. Turn them over and microwave for another 3 minutes. (Be careful not to burn yourself!)
* Step 4
[If only cooking 1 potato] Microwave for 3 minutes, flip over and microwave for another 3 minutes, and then it will be soft.
* Step 5
[If cooking a large amount or large-sized potatoes] Microwave for 3 minutes, flip over, and repeat.
* Step 6
They're done once a toothpick can slide right through! (If you think that they are just a little too hard, leave them be and they will continue cooking in residual heat.
