I use many different condiments as binders in my burgers - applesauce, mustard and ketchup are fantastic for this job. Just pick a good one to go with your burger flavour!
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Put all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl
* Step 2
Work together with your hands until evenly combined
* Step 3
Form a couple of small tester patties and grill a few minutes each side on medium until done. This is to check the seasonings - if you want to add a little more of anything to the burger mix, do so
* Step 4
Form 6 burger patties. You can freeze the patties between layers of parchment paper at this point or chill in the fridge until cooking later in the day. If freezing, defrost before cooking
* Step 5
Grill under a medium-low heat for 15 - 20 minutes, turning often until cooked through
