An awesome twist to the original Banana Chips recipe from Kerala by me that are famous all over the Country. I have added a few spices that are common to the Indian Kitchen pantry. Iam sure every Kitchen has these Masalas. This interesting twist gave an altogether new look and dimension to them plus enhanced the taste also a bit more. Try them this way for more tastier and yummier Chips right at home that are even much better than the store bought one's.
Everyone's gonna like them. And are super tempting and easily done too. Coconut oil gives it an authentic touch but these can be fried even in Sunflower, Corn or Canola oil too.
Coconut oil does give it an edge over others as originally they are made with that. So it's absolutely recommended. That's all. Let's get started.
Happy Frying Folks!

Food ration :
4-5 servings

20-25 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Add turmeric to a bowl of water and immerse the Bananas in it for 20 minutes. This is basically done to remove the stickiness. Using a slicer, slice them as thinly as possible.
* Step 2
Coconut oil is the best but if you don't have it or do not want to use it, use Sunflower or Canola Oil.
* Step 3
Add the Banana slices to this hot oil and fry them on a medium high heat. Turn them occasionally so that they are evenly fried.
* Step 4
Remove them onto an absorbent towel or a napkin. Sprinkle the Masalas and toss them well to coat evenly on all the sides. Serve them hot at tea-time. Once cooled completely, store them in airtight containers at room temperature and relish for a week or more.
