Mughlai Sheer khurma

#kids #cookpadindia A flavoursome all time favourite Dessert that is extensively made in Afghanistan, India and Central Asia on the day of Eid Ul Fitr. It's a rich Dessert made with Milk, Nuts, Ghee and Thin Vermicelli along with Dates too. Dry Dates or Chuaare are also fried in desi Ghee and added to the Dessert. But it's optional. It's not a must. If you could not lay your hands on the dry Dates, it's perfectly fine. Rest of the description is actually not needed for this beautiful looking Dessert. The looks are enough for a clear understanding of this exotic Dessert.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

The recipes for both the Ghee Fried Nuts and the Sewaiyan is on my profile. You can check that for a detailed description. However you need to fry them on a low heat until crisp and done. For the above-mentioned measurements, you need a cup of Pure Ghee. First fry the Nuts. And then proceed with the Sewaiyan using the same Ghee.

* Step 2

On a separate burner, keep a large vessel for boiling Milk. Add Cardamoms to it crushing them just a bit along with Sugar. Bring it to a rolling boil on a high heat at first and then simmer on a low heat until reduced to three fourths of it. This is the perfect consistency required for a creamy Sheer Khurma.

* Step 3

After done, add in the Condensed Milk, Nuts, Sewaiyan and the Fresh Cream. Mix well and cook further for a few minutes. May be 5 or a little more. That's it. Serve it hot for a lovely wholesome experience of relishing a creamy Sheer Khurma on the day of Eid or any day you feel like having this lip-smacking Dessert. Enjoy!
