Spinach Chicken Curry (Murg Palak)

Palak chicken or spinach chicken recipe is made with tender pieces of chicken and winter fresh spinach leaves simmered in an onion-tomato gravy made creamy with cashews.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Make a smooth paste of cashew nuts in a blender and add 1 tsp red chili powder and keep aside.
* Step 2
Add 4 tbsp mustard oil, add bay leaf, cumin seeds, cloves, green cardamom, cinnamon, black peppercorn and fry until fragrant. Add onion paste, ginger and garlic paste, green chilies, salt, turmeric powder. Add the chicken pieces and mix well in the spices.
* Step 3
Add chopped tomatoes and washed and chopped spinach leaves and mix well. Add 2 tbsp cream and mix well.
* Step 4
Add 1/4 to1/2 cup of water depending upon the gravy consistency you need. Finally, serve with some rotis and enjoy your winter dinner.
