An Italian phrase meaning 'brother devil,' fra Diavolo is the name of a variety of spicy sauces usually made from tomatoes. The sauce is made by sauteing chopped onions in olive oil, then adding tomatoes (canned or fresh), crushed red pepper and garlic. It is spicy and addictively delicious. Seafood being a major part of Italian cuisine, you can find shrimp fra diavolo widely served across the world today.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Toss the shrimp in a medium bowl with 1 teaspoon of salt and red pepper flakes and keep for 10 minutes
* Step 2
Heat the 3 tablespoons oil in a heavy large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and saute for about a minute, toss, and continue cooking until just cooked through, about 1 to 2 minutes. Transfer the shrimp to a large plate and set aside
* Step 3
Add the onion, bell peppers to the same skillet, adding 1 to 2 teaspoons of olive oil to the pan, if necessary, and saute until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes with their juices, wine, garlic, and oregano, black pepper powder.Simmer until the sauce thickens slightly, about 10 minutes
* Step 4
Add the shrimp and any accumulated juices to the tomato mixture; toss to coat, and cook for about a minute so the flavors mingle together. Stir in coriander leaves.Season with more salt, to taste, and serve with chilled red wine.
